ATM Services

Equity Bank has over 620 ATMs in the region. Equity Bank customers can use their cards to transact regionally in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda and Tanzania.

Types of ATMs:

1. Cash Out ATMs

These are cash withdrawal only ATMs without deposit capability.  All Equity Bank Uganda ATMs are Cash Out ATMs

2. Envelope Deposit ATMs

These are ATMs that are capable of dispensing cash as well as accept cash deposited using the envelopes provided.  This functionality will soon be rolled out to the Equity Bank Uganda ATMs

3. Intelligent Deposit ATMs

These are ATMs that are capable of dispensing cash as well as deposit money instantly into your account.  This functionality will soon be rolled out to the Equity Bank Uganda ATMs

Features of Equity Bank ATMs:

1. Withdraw cash from your bank account
2. Transfer funds from one Equity Bank account to another
3. Cardless Transactions – This is where a customer wants to draw money through the ATM from their Warid Pesa account. To do this, follow the instructions below:

a. Dial *144# to generate a code on your registered warid line

b. In a few seconds an SMS with your secret code will be received

c. At the ATM,  press the Warid Pesa soft key

d. Enter the warid code received

e. Enter your mobile number

f. Choose amount in case you want to do a quick transaction

g. In case you require different amount press “Other amount” and go to the next screen

h. Enter the amount to withdraw

i. Wait for the ATM to dispense cash
